GIVING BACK

For the CLAP for Youth@JC programme organised by the Boys and Girls Clubs Association and the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Winton staff and customers donated toys for children in the programme in boxes placed at Winton’s Head Office and within its branches. In total Winton gathered over 80 toys for children supported by the programme.

In early 2017, Winton was awarded the Caring Company Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of its commitment in Caring for the Community, Caring for Employees and Caring for the Environment over the past year. Early in 2018 the company was awarded a similar award, reflecting its continued dedication these three important pillars.

In response to the increasing pollution of Hong Kong’s beautiful coastal areas the Winton team participated in a Coastal Cleanup event in Tai Po organized by Hong Kong Discovery. After a lot of time working in the sun, the team recovered an incredible volume of bags of refuse from the beach.

Winton, together with Hong Kong Discovery, held a financial intelligence workshop for students, in Wan Chai. This was part of a project implemented by Winton that aimed to educate young people about the importance of wealth management and effective money saving. This workshop was received warmly by the attendees.

In an effort to help Hong Kong children become more financially responsible, Winton collaborated with Hong Kong Discovery to launch the "Sharing Experience in the Journey of Life" seminar series. A series of workshops that saw Winton teams visiting secondary schools in districts across Hong Kong to educate students of all ages on the importance of financial planning, and encouraging them to set financial goals. These workshops were positively received by both the attending students and the school administrations.
